Uni Progress

So a new post because it was about time. Uni's going well though I'm excited to be going home on saturday, I'm just ready for it. Between that and today is an asessment, dun dun dun! It's for Photography and I feel pretty positive about that so hopefully everything will go ok. I hope I've done enough work, it probably looks to me like I've done a lot when actually, I haven't but let's stay positive.
Other than that things are ok. I finally went to my Wednesday lecture, it ended up being a waste of time due to it being about poetry, unfortunatley, I don't do poetry and I have no will to learn about it. So I spent a lot of time doodeling and just not listening. Never mind. I also arrived early for my Textiles lesson on monday, for the first time in about the entire year. I was very proud :)
Added to that, yesterday I went out to the local rock night in Bath, I met friends from my writing class on a tuesday and actually found that they are a lot more interesting than the people I normally sit with. Damn. We ended up having a full nearly 20, 30 minute argument about Doctor Who and a very loud discussion about Supernatural, but what can I say they're both brilliant shows and sometimes you just have to yell about them.
I've signed myself up to do some kind of volunteer shop as well. Concidering that every summer I volunteer for the British Heart Foundation I'm kinda wondering why I did that. Oh well... I'm also concidering signing up for a live blog and tweet session where writers come and do this talk and we blog all the way through and stuff. It sounds amazing! Actually, I do have twitter, so this could be good :D

Disneyland Photo Quest

My sister has decided to do something new this year. It involves making a list for the other peoson to follow of places and things to take a photo of in Disneyland. Since we're going to Paris in a few months it sounds like such a good idea. To up the ante we're also making each other maps and creating clues. It's all becoming very exciting. Add to the fact that we're listening to disney music over Skype and I'm searching through photos of the park to find things to take a picture of.
Just so you know I'm on a wonderful website called Photos Magiques. It's a very good website for disney photographs, the quality of them is amazing as well!
See you all later :)

I'm supposed to be doing uni work right now...

Yeah, so I was happily doing my uni work, which involved finding some pictures on google as it sometimes does. Then I find myself on here, and I think, well, why not do a quick post while I'm on this site. Here we go then, my quick post.
Right now I'm trying to find some ideas for what to do for my Textiles work. We need to have projecty ideas, and I think we have to have actually started the project, but I have one day and not enough pull rings off cans. Also I have no clue how to begin making a corset out of can tabs, If anyone knows how and could let me know, that'd be great. :)
Anyway, for may expo I'm thinking of doing Lucky star with my sister :D That should be fun, especially since it means buying another wig, and its a long one. I do love my hobbies sometimes. As well as that though I think we're going to do a Black Butler/Kuroshitsuji cosplay. We did it in October and I had so much fun with it so I'm really looking forward to doing it again. This time though we're going to do Ciel in his party dress (the pink one where he's pretending to be a girl), and Undertaker as a girl as well. This means I get to think like Undertaker to design a new dress for him that he would wear to such a party! I'm so excited for it!!
And I've recently seen Rise of the Guardians! How much do I love it? Loads! I can't wait for it to come out on DVD, I just keep watching youtube videos now. Not like I wasn't doing that before but never mind....
Annnnnnyway, I should probably get back to actually doing my work. Lovely chatting to you.

Deviant Art and Disney Concept Work

I've been busy on Deviant art recently, and I'm quite proud of that. I suppose I have uni to thank for it but never mind. My photography course has me taking pictures everywhere so I just need to keep up with the uploads, I think that's especially true when it comes to this blog. I always start to think about it and then forget to update, I need to sort myself out! So anyway, Deviant, there's some pretty cool pictures up there if I do say so myself. Quite a few of my local beach due to my new desire to take pictures of everything. Then again, I have borrowed a camera from Uni so I might as well use it to my full potential.
Anyway, I got onto here and started this update because I've recently decided I want to become an Imagineer for Disney, I think that would be so cool. Then when strolling through concept art on Google I came across some amazing pictures and one of them happened to lead me here. Thanks for that.
So with a new career in mind, though I'm hoping I will find a way to keep writing (something I desperatley need to start doing again, I think I've neglected my FanFiction account for too long now) and to keep desigining. Recently I've been designing costumes for my younger cousin who does freestyle dancing. I'm quite proud of them if I do say so myself :) Anyway, I'm off to do some more research and hopefully to write some more. Wish me luck!

Cosplays for October Expo 2012

I don't think I've ever been this prepared for Expo before but as we are now, there have actually been agreements on what people are cosplaying for the London MCM Expo this October. It's very exciting, even more so because I am getting to make quite a few of the cosplays, so people are relying on me. It also means that I can make sure we do our best and have some super cosplays!!

So far the cosplays are Kuroshitsuji: Ciel In Wonderland, Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland and Kigurumi's. I'm planning on making the White Queen for Alice while my sister wants to do Um, they're both very difficult costumes because of the sheer level of detail, so any tips would be much appreciated.
Until then I have to figure out how to make Undertaker's hat for the Mad Hatter from Ciel In Wonderland. I think it's gonna be really fun. If I get it right i'll make another blog post to share to help out others too :) After that it's all about glamming up my Kigu and making the other Wonderland costumes for Kuro, it should be fun!
Only 13 weeks to go!

My University Choice

So I chose Bath Spa University, Bath is a beautiful city with plenty of inspiration all around but the best part about them was that they were interested in students who were into modern designs and fresh ideas rather than simply relying on the history of Bath. I'm now waiting for my results to find out if I can do my course choise, a combination degree of Mixed Media Textiles and Creative Writing. I'm really looking forward to it, let's hope I get it!

I've also started to design some dance costumes that can be made and sold at our local dance competitions, as well I this I also manned the sweet stall. Go me! So anyway, I'm pretty proud of my designs, eventually I think they might end up on here :) As well as this I'm still designing my own things and I've started to gather people to do some more cosplays. I'm especially looking forward to the Ciel In Wonderland cosplay we have planned from the anime/manga Kuroshitsuji. I would suggest it to anyone if you don't know what I'm talking about. It's a great anime, I love the history that it incorporates while twisting it to suit the characters, especially that of Ciel. So yeah, go have a look at that :)
